The question I get asked the most – next to ‘when’s the new book coming out?’ – is ‘When are they going to turn the Sanctus trilogy into a movie?’
Sadly, the simple answer is, ‘No time soon.’
No one would love to see the books turned into a movie or TV series more than me but they would be expensive to make and the current studio wisdom appears to be that Dan Brown occupies the only space available for high-concept thrillers with religious themes. Hopefully the wheel will turn and that will change but in the meantime here are some stunning storyboards Neil Maguire – a professional storyboard artist – sent me showing what the pre-titles sequence might look like.
